another 1500 drum kits. You would need to make a catalog
just to know which kit was which!
Want to take it a step further?
You can assign any MIDI channel to a pad. This gives
you access to over 200 melodic voices that can be triggered
from any pad. Now you a good idea why they call it extreme.
The module is quite a beast
on it's own but let's check out some of the hardware
that is included in the DTXtreme III Standard drum kit.
You get a three zone snare pad, 3 three zone tom pads,
1 three zone cymbal pad, 1 three zone ride cymbal pad,
one hi hat pad, and a kick drum trigger. All of these
pads mount to a lightweight study aluminum frame that
can be folded up for travel or god forbid storage.
The three zone snare pad has
onboard controls that let you adjust snare tension and
pitch making it more like a real acoustic snare drum.
The cymbal pads choke when you grab the edges. They
respond to the lightest touch and feel real. The hit
hat pad attaches to the hit hat stand and moves up and
down juts like an acoustic hit hat would. The hi hat
pad is pressure sensitive so the pitch changes when
you push on the pedal. The kick drum pad has a very
large playing surface that can easily accommodate a
double bass pedal. The pad is held securely in place
so you abusive hard playing drummers don't have to worry
about it moving.
With the DTXtreme there is only
one electronic drum set with more and that is the DTXtreme
III Special edition. |
